What was your journey to creating woolen sculptures?

The first pieces I made were in 2009 - the wool branches that I wrap in both natural and extremely vibrant yarns.

I was in the woods of Sonoma and started to gather large branches from the forest floor. A week of quiet and a huge skein of yarn led to the creation of my first woolen branches. Making them is second nature now and one of the most meditative things in the world to me… Read more
